Free loudness tools

Measure, check and plan your levels before you publish. The analysis tools run entirely in your browser: your audio is decoded and measured on your own device and is never uploaded.

How the measurements are made

Loudness and true peak follow ITU-R BS.1770-5, the standard behind EBU R 128, ATSC A/85 and the targets of Apple Podcasts and other platforms. Loudness range follows EBU Tech 3342. The ACX check measures RMS, peak and noise floor the way the ACX Check plugin for Audacity does. Each tool page explains its method and what the numbers mean.

Files you analyze are read by your browser with the Web Audio API. They are not uploaded, and the tools keep working offline once a page has loaded.

When you are ready to deliver, LufsReady's delivery presets master a file to the target you choose and report the before-and-after measurements. See pricing for how minutes work.

Master it to spec automatically

Upload a recording, pick Apple Podcasts, ACX, EBU R 128 or your own target, and download a file that meets it, with a before-and-after report. New accounts get 60 free minutes after confirming their email.
