Everything a spoken-word master needs, and nothing it does not
LufsReady focuses on one job: turning a finished voice recording into a file that meets its delivery standard and sounds consistent. Here is what that includes.
Standard-based presets
Podcast stereo (-16 LUFS), podcast mono (-19 LUFS), ACX audiobook, online video (-14 LUFS), EBU R128 (-23 LUFS) and ATSC A/85 (-24 LKFS), or a custom target between -30 and -9 LUFS.
BS.1770 measurement
Integrated loudness, loudness range and true peak are measured with the ITU-R BS.1770 method on both the original and the delivered file.
True-peak limiter
Limiting runs at 4x the sample rate so inter-sample peaks stay below the ceiling. Lossy formats get extra headroom for encoder overshoot.
Noise reduction
Spectral noise reduction with noise tracking, in four strengths: off, light (6 dB), medium (12 dB) and strong (20 dB).
Leveler and compression
A slow leveler evens out speakers and segments without pumping on pauses, followed by gentle 2.5:1 compression.
De-esser
Tames sibilance so the louder master does not sound sharp on earbuds.
Rumble filter
An 80 Hz high-pass removes desk bumps, traffic and air-conditioning rumble that waste loudness headroom.
ACX noise floor
For audiobooks, a gentle downward expander can lower room noise between phrases so chapters meet the -60 dB noise-floor rule.
Delivery formats
MP3 (96 to 320 kbps, constant bitrate), AAC in M4A, WAV and FLAC at 16 or 24 bits. Mono, stereo, or keep the original layout.
Re-master without re-uploading
Try another preset on the same upload while it is stored (7 days). Each version is charged by length like any file.
REST API
Automate mastering from your publishing workflow with API keys and a simple upload endpoint. See the API documentation.
Private by default
Files are only available to your account and are deleted after 7 days. Read our security overview.
What you get back
The mastered file and its report
Each job produces the mastered audio in your chosen format, a before/after waveform, and a report listing the target, the measured values, a pass or fail for each requirement, and the processing steps applied, including the exact gain.
You can listen to both versions in the browser before downloading, and download the report as a text file for your records or a client.
